Xavier Vignon Arcane XV Le Diable 2015*, dry, red, full body, 15% alc.
Grape varieties: Arcane XV is a blend of 100% of very old Mourvedre (some above hundred years old).
Characteristics: Almost black color with crimson reflects, the nose offers rich notes of dark fruits , garrigue and soft spices. The mouthfeel reveals a massive structure yet with elegant tannins and good freshness. Long finish dominated by black fruits, liquorice, and a slight saltiness.
Maturation: 30% in new French oak (medium toast), 70% in small concrete tank
Food pairing: Duck with orange - Tajine of lamb with apricots - Poached and salted duck -strong cheeses
Serving temperature: 16-18c°
